Finnish rally ace triumphs

Finnish rally ace Markku Alen took third in the final 45km road race for standard cars to clinch over-all victory in a three-event motor competition on Satur-

day. Earlier, Alen was runnerup in the rally cross and precision driving portions of the oneway event. He finished with 42 points, four ahead of Keke Rosberg, the Finnish formula one star. Third went to former world, rally champion Stig

Blomqvist of Sweden, on 38 points. Timo Salonen of Finland, another rally driver and winner of the rally cross race here, was fourth with 36 points. Formula one drivers Nelson Piquet of Brazil (23 points), Jacques Laffite of France (22) and Elio de Angelis of Italy (18) came next.

France’s rally ace Michele Mouton was last with 14 points. The rally drivers dominated the formula one stars, 130-101 points. y
