Situations Vacant UNIVERSITY OF W CANTERBURY SENIOR TECHNICIAN TECHNICIAN (ELECTRONICS) (TWO POSITIONS) APPLICATIONS are invited for two positions as above in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The appointees will be required to work in the Workshop and Laboratories of the Department. Electrical registration is a requirement. POSITION 1 requires a person with experience in digital electronics, computer programming/servicing and microprocessors, and having a general electronics background. The appointee may be Involved in the running and maintenance of the control systems laboratory. POSITION 2 requires a person with experience in microprocessors, power electronics, general electronic construction and maintenance, sheetmetal work and basic workshop practice. The appointee will be involved in the operation of the power systems laboratory, assisting with student supervision and safety, and in the development, construction and maintenance of equipment. Subject to confirmation by the Arbitration Court, the salary for Technician Grade I is on a scale from $12,592 to $16,001 per annum and for Grade II is on a scale from $16,488 to $18,704 per annum; commencing salary according to qualifications and experience.
