On cue for final

NZPA-AP New Delhi Australia’s Bob Marshall, aged 75, out of retirement after 23 years, has pulled off another upset in New Delhi to enter the final of the world amateur billiards championship in pursuit of his fifth international title. Marshall, who has said he will “kiss everyone around” if he wins the billiards crown again, showed no signs of fatigue as he chalked up 12 century breaks to humble his much younger opponent, India’s Subhash Agrawal, in a sixhour semi-final contest. Playing with his 54-year-old cue, the Australian outclassed Agrawal — last year’s losing finalist — in all departments, winning by 937 points. In the other semi-final encounter, India’s Sethi, aged 24, edged his compatriot and reigning title holder, Michael Ferreira, by 134 points in a cliffhanger.
