The Executive Officer — Dairy Section, is responsible for the overall administration and servicing function for the dairy section of the industry. The successful applicant will work very closely with the elected officers of the Federation and other key people including senior officials in both the private and public sectors. A major responsibility is in the area of research, preparation of key submissions, policy formulation, and as key advisor to the Section Chairman. The location is in Wellington City. REQUIREMENTS: 9 Proven administration ability with good coordination or organisation skills. • Above average verbal and written communication skills and an ability to relate with a diversity of people within and outside the industry. • A high level of initiative and self motivation. •An appropriate degree with strength in economics. •An empathy with the agricultural industry, and preferably some practical knowledge of farming. •An interest in the research, development and formulation of policy. • Age flexible, but probably a younger graduate with business and/or practical industry experience.
