Golf results
Canterbury and North Canterbury drew their under-21 golf contest, 6-all, at the weekend. In the top six, which was played without handicaps, Canterbury won, 4¥2-IVz, but North Canterbury reversed the score in the bottom half when handicaps were used. Results (North Canterbury names first) were:— J. Sincock halved with A. McCall; N. Harris lost to P. Dench, 2 down; K. Mariu lost to T. Christie, 2 and 1; M. Brownlee beat C. Pemberton, 2 and 1; P. Commons lost to A. Hobbs, 1 down; S. Allen lost to K. Balvers, 4 and 3; P. McAllister beat D. Quinn, 5 and 4; S. Hide beat W. Turner, 1 up; J. Miles halved with L. Shaskey; D. Clements lost to C. Houston, 3 and 2; S. Gallagher beat A. Mayston, 3 and 2; G. Ward beat M. Treleaven, 2 and 1.
