Basketball tour an added spur

PA Tauranga A tour to Fiji in August is an added spur for players in the national under-20 men’s basketball inter-districts championships being held in Tauranga this week. A trial squad will be announced following the completion of the tournament tomorrow with the New Zealand team to compete in the South Pacific senior championships in Suva to be announced in early June. Only Canterbury in a twogame programme finished the first day unbeaten in Section B while Hutt Valley-Wellington was clearly the top team in Section A.
