Plea changed to guilty
PA Dunedin A man charged with raping his wife changed his plea to guilty when he appeared in the High Court at Dunedin yesterday. The man, aged 25, whose name was suppressed, had initially pleaded not guilty and his trial was to have been held in the High Court
at Dunedin before Mr Justice Roper and a jury. However, when the charge was put to him yesterday, the defendant said that he wished to plead guilty. j . He will be sentenced in the High Court at Christchurch on May 17, and was allowed bail until then.
