Knitting to go to TV shop
Those who are knitting jerseys for Ethiopian children should take finished garments to the Television New Zealand shop in the Triangle Centre, not to Corso, as reported in “The Press,” yesterday. The shop’s manager, Mr Jeff Maslen, said that finished jerseys could be taken to the shop until 5 p.m. on March 28. After that, they could be sent to Operation Hope, P.O. Box 6820, Auckland.
Mr Maslen said the response to the call for knitters had been amazing. More than 1500 patterns had been given away in the three days.
The garments will be flown to Auckland to join the Operation Hope ship Ngahere bound for Africa.
