600-year jail term
A man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl 45 times has been sentenced to 600 years in jail by a court in Bulacan province. The regional trial court at Malolos said Miguel Concepcion had raped the girl 23 times from February to April, 1981. He was accused of raping her 45 times. Judge Manuel Yuson ordered Concepcion to pay the victim 240,000 pesos ($27,232) as indemnity. — Manila.
