REACT in return play

Christchurch co-operative theatre, REACT, is back. Rehearsals are underway for the theatre’s first 1985 production, “A Lesson From Aloes” by Athol Fugard. The play will be presented in the Free Theatre from March 20 until April 13. REACT went into recess last year when it lost its Durham Street premises. This year the group plans to used established theatre venues. The members of the group want to develop a distinctive New Zealand style and standard of theatre through the presentation of relevant and entertaining works. REACT Theatre runs as a

professional co-operative theatre of trained and experienced theatre workers, Z based in Christchurch, who produce plays within a - profit-sharing structure.
