Composer chosen
Anthony Ritchie, a 24-year-old Christchurch composer has been chosen to have his work “A piano concerto” performed by the National Symphony Orchestra. Mr Ritchie is one of seven New Zealand and Asian composers whose work will be performed at a Young
Composers’ Workshop at the Asia Pacific Festival in Wellington in December. The other New Zealand representatives at the festival will be Cuong Nguyen, of Wellington, and David Hamilton, Dorothy Ker and Eve de Castro-Robinson, all of Auckland.
