Family show
Works by a mother and son feature in an art and craft exhibition at the Gallery Akaroa this week. The Christchurch artist, Jewel Oliver, is showing a variety of acrylic, water colour and pencil works. She also has some landscape collage and design,pieces. Her son, the Akaroa
woodturner, Paul Oliver, is a working member of the Canterbury Woodturners’ Guild. His works include decorative natural edged bowls made from rare and selected woods as well as ornamental mushrooms. The exhibition, which opened last Saturday, will close on November 4.
