Mitchell wins 10km race
Mark Mitcehll (Sumner) won the annual Southbridge 10km road running race yesterday in a time of 32min 275. A junior, Peter Tutty (St Martins), was in second Blace8 lace until shortly before te finish, when he made a wrong turn and had to re-, trace his steps to prevent disqualification. Stu Taylor (Olympic) took second place. Richard Tout (Auckland), who won the KB Gold Port Hills 100 km race on Saturday, used the race as a recovery run and finished a comfortable eighteenth in the field of 35.
