About 2500 persons took advantage of free entry before 5.30 p.m. to Addington Raceway on Saturday. They packed the undercover vantage points to watch the telecast of the Sydney rugby test. The total attendance on Saturday exceeded 6000, against 4200 at a day meeting 12 months earlier. On-course betting rose by $53,907 to $446,649. The offcourse total was $853,702, an increase of $340,585.
