B. Gliddon suspended
The Burnham trainer, Brian Gliddon, had his horseman’s licence suspended until after September 8 for careless driving at Addington Raceway on Saturday. Gliddon, the driver of Nordel King in the Pressmen’s Pace, was found guilty of causing interference to.. Judah Benhur, which checked Gold and Black, sending it to a break. Jack Smolensk!, the driver of Derby in the Louisson' Handicap, was fined $75 for careless driving. It was found that Derby moved out about 30m from the finish, tightening Kind Nature onto Hands Down. Kind Nature went off stride. An objection was lodged against first placing being awarded to Chataway in the F.T.C. Wyndham Pace on the grounds of interference to Gay World about 200 m from the finish. After hearing evidence from the drivers concerned and viewing a film of the incident, it was decided to dismiss the objection.
