Shampoo tampering claimed

NZPA-AFP London The British pharmacy chain, Boots, has withdrawn a brand of shampoo from sale in three cities after an animal defence group claimed to have contaminated some of it with bleach, the police have said. The Animal Liberation Front, known for its commando-type action against companies which experiment on animals, said it had contaminated shampoo sold in Boots’ London, Leeds, and Southampton stores. It alleged that Boots tested its products on animals. The chain store has analysed samples of the shampoo and advised customers to bring in bottles for examination by the police.
