Entry decision delay
The New Zealand’s men’s basketball entry into the 1986 world championships in Spain is becoming something of a continuing saga. A decision on New Zealand’s application was expected soon, but, as the executive director of the New Zealand federation, Joe McLeod, of Christ-
church, said yesterday, “there has been yet another delay.” “A sub-committee of F.1.8.A. (the world controlling body) is to meet in Munich between June 22 and June 25,” said Mr McLeod, “and then forward its recommendations to the congress later in the months.”
