World chess date set
NZPA-Reuter Moscow The match to determine the world chess championship will begin on September 10 in Moscow, the Tass news agency reported. The reigning world champion, Anatoly Karpov, of the Soviet Union, is being challenged by his countryman
Gary Kasparov. The new world champion will be the first to win six games. Draws will not count. Kasparov won the right to challenge Karpov by beating another Soviet player, the former world champion, Vasily Smyslov, earlier this year.
