U.S. coach for seminar
South Island and Australian boxing coaches have gathered in Christchurch to hear seminars from a United States coach, Ed Weichers. Weichers coached an Air Force academy team to four United States titles, and impressed the Austra-
lians enough for them to offer him the job of assisting its team’s preparation for the Olympic Games. He has been brought to New Zealand by the national amateur boxing council with assistance from the Olympic and Commonwealth Solidarity Fund
