Sub-unions win rugby
PA Timaru The Southland sub-unions forwards proved too strong for South Canterbury B in a representative rugby match yesterday, and won 24-6. After leading 6-0 at halftime, Southland drew away in wet and cold conditions,
scoring four tries in the second spell. Scorers: Southland sub-unions 24 (B. Molloy 2, G. Adams, A. Byrne, M. Stevens tries; B. McKenzie two conversions). South Canterbury B 6 (W. Norton two penalties).
