Seventh for Cottle
PA Palmerston North The Olympic show jumping hope, John Cottle, finished seventh on Arturo yesterday in an international class event in Barcelona, Spain. Cottle, who is based in England, is competing in Spain with the British and Australian Olympic squads against 60 international
horses. Arturo had eight faults in the first round but had one of only three clear rounds in the second. Cottle said the Spanish weather was still bad, but Arturo was jumping well. He felt that he was not yet completely in tune with Arturo and was inclined to blame himself for the two rails the horse dropped.
