Results (South Island names first) were: Men’s singles. — N. Skelt beat M. Smith, 15-8, 11-15, 1511; P. Gulasakharem beat B. Riggall, 15-5, 15-7; M. Lindsay beat S. Midgley, 15-13, 15-9; P. Skelt beat K. Hood, 15-6, 15-5. Women’s singles. — A. Ross lost to K. Phillips, 5-11, 11-2, 711; C. Hellyer beat S. Clark, 811, 11-5, 11-7; J. Clarke beat D. Smith, 11-0, 12-10; J. Still beat M. Hill, 11-3, 11-2.
Men’s doubles. — N. Skelt and P. Skelt beat Smith and Riggall, 15-3, 15-7; Gulasakharem and Lindsay beat Midgley and Hood, 18-16, 15-12. Women’s doubles. — Ross and Clarke beat Phillips and Smith, 15-2, 15-3; Hellyer and Still beat Clarke and Hill, 15-6, 15-10.
