Tala devalued
Western Samoa’s Government devalued the tala this week 4.25 per cent. The general manager of the newly formed Central Bank of Samoa, Mr William Davis, said the adjustment reflected the realignment of the currencies in recent months. The tala was last devalued a year ago by about 23 per cent against the American dollar.
