Master Mood over mile at Motukarara
Master Mood, New Zealand’s fastest race-winning two-year-old over a mile with his Imin 59.5 s record at Washdyke, will be one of several smart youngsters competing in* the eight finals of the Canterbury Sires Stakes Series at Motukarara tomorrow. The finals, restricted to two and three-year-olds and all with a stake of $lOOO and $5OO in trophies, will be run over mobile miles. Two pen-
alty bearing CO paces for a stake of $ll5O over 2600 m are also on the programme. Of interest will be the performances in their respective' heats of the talented juvenile filly, Folie Bergere; one of the leading three-year-olds in Freightman; and Wedgewood, which set a new national record for, a two-year-old trotter over 2000 m when he won at the Addington Easter meeting.
