An eight horsepower Burrel steam traction engine is used to show how steam can drive a portable sawmill at the Steam and Country Fair held at Pleasant Point during Easter. Mr Trevor Chinnery feeds a log into the saw. Mr Bob Hawkins takes away the sawn timber. About 8000 people attended the fair where 30 steam traction engines and 50 vintage tractors were displayed.
