Police and Mr Allen to have meeting
PA Wellington The Minister of Customs, Mr Allen, wijl meet tomorrow afternoon with Elice officers investigating ; mugging complaint. The Wellington police district commander, Deputy Assistant Commissioner W. R. Fleming, said Mr Allen had requested the meeting. Mr Fleming said Detective Inspector Colin Lines and Detective Sergeant Dave Whitford, the officers
who investigated the alleged assault in Thorndon on March 15, would meet Mr Allen. The police had been planning to discuss Mr Allen’s complaint with him anyway, he said. The police file on the assault complaint was returned to Mr Fleming from national headquarters last Thursday. Mr Flemming said last evening that he had not yet studied it.
