Escapers arrested in Otago
PA Invercargill Two Cherry Farm escapers, Jeffery Linus Constable, aged 18, and Tipene Andrew Vermeere, aged 24, were recaptured by the police yesterday near Lake Onslow in Central Otago.
The two men who had been missing from the hospital since April 10, broke out of the Roxburgh police cells on Friday soon after their arrest in the town earlier that day. The police arrested them after some resistance yesterday after a tip-off by a party of fishermen.
