Rugby tourists named
NZPA-AAP Brisbane The Queensland rugby selectors have named a squad of 21 players for its three-match tour of New Zealand. The team, coached by Bob Templeton and to be captained by a Wallaby veteran, Andrew Slack, all come from Brisbane clubs, the exception being the Townsville wing, Peter Grigg. The full squad is: Greg Martin, Grigg, Slack, Tim Lane,
Brendan Moon, Ross Hanley, Michael Lynagh, Tony Parker, Peter McLean, Chris Roche (vice-captain), Nigel Holt, Bill Campbell, Michael Crank, Mark Mcßain, Andrew Mclntyre, John Woodgate, Cameron Lillicrap, Tom Lawton, Paul Johnston, Geoff Miller and Michael Cook. Queensland’s first game will be against North Auckland tomorrow week. They will then play Taranaki on May 2 and the Ranfurly Shield holder, Canterbury, on May 6.
