Four riders nominated
PA Palmerston North The national horse-trial selectors have named a squad of four equestrians to represent New Zealand in the three-day event at the Olympic Games. The squad is: Mark Todd (Cambridge) and Charisma, Andrew Scott (Feilding) and Just Henry, Andrew Nicholson (Te Awamutu) and
Kahlua, and Mary Hamilton (Porangahau) with Whist. The four started at the Badminton three-day event last week-end at which Todd came second. This is the first time the discipline has been represented at the Olympics, although New Zealand has fielded teams in other disciplines at previous games.
