Losing tour blamed
PA Wellington A Wanganui real estate agent, Paul Mitchell, whose head was one of those to roll at yesterday’s meeting, laid the blame on the losing All Black tour of England and Scotland last year. Immediately the result of the council ballot was
known, Mr Mitchell was required to give his verbal report of the tour, on which he was manager.
“If the All Blacks don’t perform,” he said, “heads are likely to roll and that is what happened to me. I’m only glad that it was not one of the players.”
