Gown a winner
PA Hamilton The celebrated traditional Maori weaver, Rangituatahi “Digger” Te Kanawa, of Te Kuiti, tried her hand at something a little more modern for the Te Kopu Maori fashion award this year, and won it. Mrs Te Kanawa’s polyes-ter-lined sheer evening gown, “Aramoana,” was a popular winner of the supreme award at a function held at Te Awamutu racecourse.
