Shoreline fishing contest
Rods, reels, and hand lines are expected at Taylors Mistake on February 12 when the Sumner Round Table holds a fishing contest. The contest, sponsored by Dominion Breweries and with prizes worth $5OO, will be held between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Boulder Bay to Grants Eye. Prizes will be awarded for the longest and smallest fish, the largest guffy, the largest spotty, and the most unusual catch. Any species of sea fish will be eligible, but fishermen will be restricted to the shoreline.
