Happy visitors

Sir,—We are an English couple aged 65 and 61 touring your fantastic country. The scenery is out of this world. The people are so friendly and helpful; your paper has helped us get accommodation twice through advertisements. We agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments expressed that tourism is not promoted enough, especially in .the United Kingdom. We are touring on a limited budget, but everywhere we stay, be it motor camp, caravan, or motel, we have met cleanliness, cheerfulness, and unexpected kindnesses. Thank you, all you Kiwis; we will remember this holiday for the rest of our lives. We have only two regrets. I would love to go to a Woman’s Institute meeting (I am a keen member at home); my husband longs to catch a fish. — Yours, etc., MARJORIE and ERNEST GREEN. iJanuary 26, 1984.
