Late movies
Television New Zealand may bring back midnight movies next summer. Late-night movies this summer have started about 10 p.m. and finished around midnight, instead of beginning about midnight as they did last year. TVNZ’s controller of programming, Mr Des Monaghan, said midnight movies might be brought back depending on public demand, availability of worthwhile movies, and expense. “There wasn’t a large audience for them, although clearly some people find it a useful and worthwhile service,” he said.
