Disney cable
Walt Disney Productions is laying plans to introduce its new cable TV station to Britain, the “Observer” reports. Talks have already started between the Los Angeles-based company and leading British cable interests with a view to making Britain Disney’s first foreign cable operation, two to three years from now. Launched in the United States last April, the system, providing 16 hours of Disney and other family programmes, has already won 700,000 subscribers.
