Lewis hit by injury
NZPA-Reuter Stuttgart, West Germany ■ New Zealand’s defeated Wimbledon finalist, Chris Lewis, was forced to drop out of the Stuttgart tennis tournament at the week-end with a shoulder injury.
The tournament was won by Jose Higueras, of Spain, ranked sixth in the world, when he beat Switzerland’s Heinz Gunthardt 6-1, 6-1, 76. Lewis had reached the semi-finals.
