Edwards wins play-off
NZPA-Reuter Moline, Illinois Danny Edwards birdied four of his final five holes yesterday to win the $300,000 Quad Cities Open golf tournament. Edwards and Morris Hatalsky both shot three-under-par 67s in the final
round at the Oakwood Country Club to tie at 14-under-par 266. On the extra hole, Hatalsky missed a birdie putt from 12 feet but Edwards made his from 11 feet to capture the fourth crown of his nine-year tour career. Bob Charles, of New Zealand, finished on 272.
