Descendants sought
Sir,—May I, through your newspaper, endeavour to contact any descendants of the late John and Margaret Mackay who lived at Waitati, Blueskin Bay, Otago. After John’s death, Margaret and family moved to Christchurch where Margaret and daughters) worked at The Sign of the Kiwi. My sister recently made enquiries there about past lessees and was told by the proprietress that only the week before she had a visit from two sisters, one from Christchurch and one from Blenheim, who told her they had worked there with their mother. Could they be my family? I am endeavouring to put together a Mackay family tree and history and would greatly appreciate contact with this branch of the family.—Yours, etc., (Mrs) ANNE MILNE, 104 Duke Street, Cambridge. May 2, 1983.
