David Niven weak
NZPA London David Niven is “tired and very weak” in hospital suffering from muscle disease, his wife, Hjordis, said yesterday. “I spoke to him last night. He can still speak, but not very well and he has lost some of the use of his left
hand. Doctors keep saying he will be okay, although it will take a long time,” she said. “He is' quite cheerful and wants to finish his latest book, which is about twothirds written.” The 73-year-old actor and author is in a private hospital at St John’s Wood, north London.
