This will require a comprehensive examination of the river, Its catchment and drainage system, so that an over-all strategy for their management and development can be formulated. An essential element will be public participation as outlined below. DISCUSSION DOCUMENT A discussion document has been prepared to inform interested individuals and organisations of the basis on which the intended plan Is to be prepared The document includes a map of the catchment. Copies are available free of charge either from the Board’s office or by telephoning and requesting that a copy be mailed. PRELIMINARY SUBMISSIONS ARE INVITED Please assist in the preparation of the plan by letting the Board know your views or by passing on any information you possess. Written submissions will be preferred but telephone communications of a brief nature will be welcomed. The closing date for submissions is April 30. 1983. and they should be addressed to the Secretary or by telephoning Robert Watts or Maria Archer - 790-550.
