Aussies out
The former world champion racing driver. Alan Jones, and Peter Brock, one of Australia's leading touring car drivers, were to haveteamed up in the inaugural Miami Grand Prix street race at the end of this month. However. Jones had an accident on his farm near Melbourne towards the end of January and suffered a broken leg. so he will be unable to take part.
The two Australians were to have driven a much-modi-fied Chevrolet Monza GT for a Melbourne businessman. Daryl Seidel, who had intended to embark on a comprehensive programme of 1983 IMSA series races. Jones was to be lead driver with Brock sharing the driving in long distance races which did not clash with his Marlboro-Holden commitments in Australia.
