Stabbed man dies
PA Auckland A Mount Albert man died in Auckland Hospital last evening after he and his wife were stabbed during what the' police described as a domestic dispute. He was Lawrence William Back, aged 53. His wife. Daphne Back, was reported in a satisfactory condition after surgery late last evening. The couple were taken to
hospital yesterday afternoon, both with knife wounds to the stomach. The police said they were called . about 4 p.m. to a domestic dispute at the couple's flat in Woodward road. Mrs Back was found lying on steps leading to a neighbouring flat. Her husband was lying inside the couple's flat. The police are not seeking anyone in connection with the stabbings.
