Log trucks a danger?
The possible dangers arising from high speed of logging trucks were raised at a meeting of the Amuri County council. The council was told of one loaded truck trying to overtake a car on a bend. In another case a log had slipped sideways and was
smashing roadside marker posts as the truck travelled along. If anyone had been on the roadside they would have had no chance of missing being hit by the trailing log, the council was told. The truck in the latter case had been identified and the council decided to write to the firm involved.
