Glacier off to Antarctica
The United States Coast Guard icebreaker Glacier left Lyttelton on Saturday on her delayed voyage to the Antarctic.
A faulty generator which could not be repaired at sea caused the Glacier to return to port 10 days ago. Two technicians flew from the United States to repair the generator, one of several supplying power for the 8915ton ship.
