Sir,—Will you please check with the City Council on the accuracy (or otherwise) of its notice on page 30 of "The Press” for Wednesday, December 29. We live on Cannon Hill and the parts relevant to us are: “Refuse due for collection Tuesday, December 28, will be collected Thursday, December 30... Refuse due for collection Tuesday, January 4, will be collected Thursday, January 6.” However, today (Wednesday, December 29), about 9 a.m., we saw a rubbish truck going down the hill, having passed our house, and blue bags were being thrown up to it. Obviously a number of people in this area had different information from that printed in “The Press.” What is the use of printing City Council refuse notices if they are not accurate?—Yours, etc., UNA DROMGOOLE.
