Stamp centre to open
Christchurch's new Philatelic Sales Centre will open in the Chief Post Office building. Cathedral Square, on Wednesday. The building's ground floor has been renovated to house the philatelic section, which will move from Hereford Street, and postal and telegraph services. The Post Office's postal service manager. Mr L. N.
Tredinnick, said that displays from archives, similar to those in Wellington, would go on display in the new Philatelic Sales Centre. “There is a lot of interest in philately and we feel this is going to be worth while," he said. The new Philatelic Centre will be opened by the PostMaster General. Mr Falloon. at 10.30 a.m.
