Brilliant performance
A brilliant performance with bat and ball by Grant Hansen helped St Andrew's College to a convincing victory against Southland Boys’ High School in their annual first XI cricket match at Invercargill yesterday. Southland was dismissed for 100 in its first innings, Roger Ford, a medium-pace bowler, taking four for 30.
and Hansen, a spinner, claiming four for 24. St Andrew's replied with 228 for five declared, Hansen scoring an unbeaten 107. He was supported by G. Ridgen (34) and T. Johnson (57). The wiles of Hansen proved too much for Southland which collapsed to be all out for 64 in its second innings, Hansen taking six for 24.
