Crime rate and TM
Sir,—Your correspondent, Chris Davies (November 23), classes the lowering of crime rate through the practice of TM technique as “eyewash.” What a pity. Should he try for himself the simple, quite passive, activity of TM, he. would also experience even a lowering of the blood pressure in addition to a great many other gentle benefits of mental, and physical relaxation. As <.O his claim of high cost to learn “the word,” there is no need to worry. We. in New Zealand have our own free TM, clinic where,, entirely free of charge, .either personally or by written course, one can gain the benefits of learning the simple way of centring to. experience deep restfulness to free the mind from tension, for more life, creativity and joy. The clinic counts among its ranks some of the most outstanding medical practitioners and specialists as supporters.. It is nonpolitical, non-religious; it is no organisation one belongs to. .— Vnnrs ptc 'henny BOHNENN. November 23, 1982.
