Kangaroos win again
NZPA Widnes The Australian rugby league team kept its unbeaten tour record intact with a fiery 19-6 win over Widnes on a rain-sodden ground at Widnes yesterday. The Kangaroos scored five tries to go into Sunday’s third test with every prospect of going through the
tour with a perfect record. An Australian replacement forward, John Muggleton, was sent off for fighting with 12 minutes left as the game lurched through a series of pitched battles. Despite the five tries Widnes were keen opponents, dominating possession for long periods.
