Abortion clinic
Sir.—l am concerned about Alan Wilkinson's letter (October 27) as it reflects the views of a man still agonising over attitudes and activities. Mr Wilkinson has attempted in past correspondence to promote his viewpoint with vigour and intelligence. Now he asks how long are we to endure pseudo facts and pseudo logic. He then gives us all the pseudo facts and pseudo logic we need in a morning's reading. I have met many, and count among my friends, pro-abortionists and anti-abdrtionists. I have found them caring, loving and concerned people, with emotional and scientific convictions. So long as Mr Wilkinson attacks the integrity of others as he may well be attacked himself, no-one is going to face the real issues. Therefore, women, forced by masculine authoritarian social pressures, will suffer under a tyranny more devastating than any found in institutional religions. Honesty and truth can be shields as well as weapons — Yours, etc.,
R. P. DALZIEL. October 27, 1982.
